Does anyone over the age of 5 still lick their plates clean for food they like at home or away?

Europeans do it all the time: isn't that why French bread was invented? Nevertheless, I'm toning down on my plate-licking ways whenever I eat something that I know my cat Gusty likes. Gusty is such a politely enthusiastic plate-licked-cleaner! Thank you for asking such a fun question!

Yes, my mom does, no matter where she is. Usually she will use a piece of bread to mop it up, or her finger. Usually she does not go so far as to lick the plate with her tongue.

Depends on the place and the event and the dish, but the answer is, "Yes"
